Miriam Strauss is a Swiss artist and art educator (MA Art Education, Zurich University of the Arts). Born in 1988, she works primarily with painting while incorporating a range of other media. Her practice is shaped by an ongoing engagement with environmental issues and the human relationship with nature.

She works both independently and in collaboration with others, exploring different approaches through exchange, improvisation and the interplay of diverse visual languages. Several extended periods abroad have significantly influenced her practice and professional network.

Miriam regularly presents her work and processes in exhibitions and has been nominated for various awards. She is based in Zurich, where she has taught Visual Arts at Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland since 2018.
